Nine Little Months - $270 - July 14th
Forum Username:britami
Company Details: The company name is "Nine Little Months". We will be selling maternity clothes at ninelittlemonths.com. The company will have an earth friendly edge to it as we will be using recycled packaging; soy-based inks for printing etc. - but this should not be the focus of the logo. Target audience: all ages; obviously female .Type Of Contest: Logo Design Contest Title: Nine Little Months Contest Deadline: July 14, 2009 Prize Amount: $270.00 Colors To Be Used: I am open to colors but I like brown, pastel pink and pastel blue as a combo. I am open to other suggestions though as this might be a bit boring. Example URLs: ninelittlemonths.com I would like a logo that suggests sophistication, class and elegance. The text needs to be readable even when printed in small text so probably a simple font should be used. I would like 2 (possibly 3) colors to be used (black or brown would be counted as one color if used). The logo will be displayed on a white background. I don't know what other details you might need, so please feel free to ask questions.

I also thought to use the nine, although in a more abstract birth/sprout symbol...

Hello!
Here is my proposal. http://www.ljplus.ru/img4/a/k/aka_vovikus/Nine_10.jpg Main colors can be easily changed. Have a nice weekend! Vlad

Nyxxie,
I like the colors but for me, there is no cohesion through the design. I couldn't quite make out that it was a butterfly until I saw the black and white version. I don't think this is a logo that I would use as it is. Would love to see more ideas and variations on this idea. |

I really like this design. I like the simplicity and I like the font. It has the 'feel' of a maternity company. I think that maybe the colors used need to be just a little darker or stronger - still in the pastel range but I wonder if they will get lost or people will have trouble seeing them as they are right now. Is there any way that you could think to incorporate the idea of the 'green' edge of the company - I do like that it is present in Vovikus' design. Last edited by Britami; 06-27-2009 at 03:10 PM. |

Same concept but a little more classy approach in execution for my 2nd entry.

I like this one also, but it is a bit generic. I feel that this could be a logo for a department store. Is there something that you could do to make it more maternity oriented? My other problem is that the url of nlm.com is taken - so I don't know that i want to promote that version of the name? Not sure whether that would really matter or not.

I like both of your entries, especially the use of the female figure as the 'i' but both logo's remind me too much of the '80's. I don't know if it's the colors that you have used or whether it is the logo font, but it seems dated. I am also thinking that I like some of the other entires because the graphic could be used without the writing as a type of emblem (I am sure there is a fancy marketing name that I should be using). This is not the case with your entry so far. Looking forward to seeing more . |

I went back to the drawing board and came back with my third and final entry which blends the clothing and maternity aspects into a symbol above the type that can be used on its own as you had requested. I look forward to your feedback, thanks!
