I just launched http://www.aSiteAboutSomething.com — an engaging and playful 3D exploration of a whimsical world based on Richard Geller’s novels. Geller’s original music provides the backdrop for your journey. Access new songs and books as you discover them hidden in the nine scenes.

A Site About Something / Richard Geller also debuts an online reading experience that is the next-best thing to holding a physical book. The books are available as affordable digital downloads that use Adobe AIR™ to bring the online reading experience to the desktop. The site also offers printed books, and an MP3 album of Geller’s music.

Geller is a capable, thought-provoking writer, but rather than share royalties with standard book and music distribution channels that contribute little to the creative process, we cut out the middlemen and market directly to listeners and readers. If an artist can’t use this well-developed medium to communicate directly with his audience, the whole promise of the internet is broken. Clearly an insane amount of work poured into what you have created here. I cannot begin to imagine making something like that whew... it makes me tired just thinking about it. I'm just not sure what it's purpose is.
